The 401B is an ultra-portable RF Spectrum Analyser designed for use on the bench or out in the field. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and with low power consumption, this versatile device can be taken to awkward locations where measurement with a bulky mains powered unit is impossible - at the top of an antenna mast for example.A range of popular EMC limits are pre-programmed into the 401B and an alarm can be set to alert the user if the limit is exceeded. Measurements can be stored in memory and downloaded via the built-in RS232 interface using the supplied PC enhancement software. Test results can then be archived as Windows Bitmap or Excel compatible files. Instrument set-ups can also be stored and recalled in the 401B memory. Three independant frequency markers are available with automatic seek to locate the highest emissions in a scan. Using the markers, frequencies of interest can be centered on the display and zoomed for closer scrutiny. Bantam's range of active accessories can be connected to the RF input of the 401B, which will also provide the power to the device.
